We are a friendly family living in the well established & safe suburb of Remuera (20 mins by bus to Downtown Auckland in peak traffic). We have welcomed several international students over the years and have enjoyed their company very much.
This is a modern four bedroom home in the heart of Remuera, with two bathrooms (one separate toilet). Large queen size bedroom & a shared bathroom (downstairs) with one other very nice Chinese student (male). Your room has a fairly new king single bed & linen, dresser, desk, chair, lamp, heater etc, provided. We are more than happy to look at any furniture/bedding requirement you may have as we want you to be happy here.
Quiet, peaceful & safe home, cafe and Benson Rd shops a few minutes walk. We are close to the city, harbour, popular swimming beaches, all sports, fishing, boating, sailing, walking, hiking, cycling tracks & routes, recreational centres, theatres & restaurants.
The weekly fee covers all expenses, including breakfast and dinner (lunch - there's normally some left over dinner from the night before, or we are happy to negotiate the weekly cost for lunches), water, power & gas, rent, phone (local calls), sky tv, laundry, cleaning, and unlimited fast fibre internet. We may be away for short periods over the holidays so you will have to cook for yourself sometimes, although, we are happy to buy heat-n-eat meals for you if necessary. We love all sorts of food & often cook a variety of meals & we are happy to consider the types of meals you like to eat. Fri night we normally have a more casual meal (pizza) & Sat night is the only night you will need to cook for yourself or buy your own takeaways (we may be away).

We are able to meet you at the Airport, help you settle into your new home with us, & help organise daily transport to your new learning institution/University.
Sorry, but no pets, smokers or couples. There's on street parking right outside the front door. Ten mins walk to the Orakei train station, bus stops less than one hundred mtrs away.
We are experienced & comfortable with hosting International Students & as much as our home-stay has their own busy lives, we do like you to feel welcome & part of the family (if you need anything, just ask) – we have no problem with helping you learn English.
