If you are looking for a place to stay that is modern, spotlessly clean and more stylish than your average home-stay option ........ you have found it. Our house is large, comfortable, quiet, has a relaxed atmosphere, is heated ......... and is a short distance from Auckland City. We have one male homestay at the moment so our preference is for a male
Our house is a 10 minute walk to Unitec Mt Albert and on a main bus route to the city which is a 15 - 20 minute ride away. ( The bus stop is a few minutes away at the end of our street) If you are studying at Unitec Mt Albert we are a perfect option. If you have your own car Waterview offers amazing access to the motorway for travel to the north, south and directly to the city. Our street is a quiet no exit road.
We have a large open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area on the lower level. These rooms open out through large bi-fold doors to our beautiful Balinese inspired tropical garden ..... a great place to chill in.
The single bedroom is on the ground floor and it has a guest toilet next to it. ( This bedroom shares the same bathroom that the 2 double rooms upstairs use. ) The single bedroom has a large 6 drawer dresser and bedside table with drawers and a single bed.
Upstairs we have a separate TV lounge, a large bathroom with bath / shower and the two large bedrooms. Each of these upstairs bedrooms has a double bed and a very spacious double wardrobe.
The single room is $260 a week and the 2 larger rooms are $295 a week. The cost includes breakfast each day. We sometimes include dinner during the week to bring our homestay people together. You may use the TV lounge upstairs to study in ... or to just watch a movie or Sky TV. We also have a washing machine and an outdoor or indoor covered clothesline. We include high quality bed linen and bath towels.
We both lead busy lives and enjoy a calm and relaxed time when we are at home. We both enjoy a wine, a beer or a chat with our homestay guests.
Please note that we are fussy about how our guests treat our beautiful house .....so if you are not clean and tidy ... please do not apply. On saying that ... our homestays generally stay a year or more.
There is no smoking in the house but smoking is OK outside in our tropical garden. We offer unlimited high speed wireless broadband and the weekly cost also includes water, and power. We have a very small and well trained Miniature Schnauzer dog.
